Last printing for some of our nursing tops

Finally our new nursing tops should be on their way, this means in a spring like manner out with the old and in with the new ; Some of our prints are going. Who knows maybe forever maybe not but on these colour breastfeeding tops for now their time is up.

Skull owl nursing top is waving farewell

Some of the designs above we’ve gotten rid of the screen so that design won’t be back, whilst others we’ve just put to the back of the pile and maybe one day they will be reborn. Others like the skull owl design will be printed again but on different style nursing shirts and using previous colour inks or colour shirts we’ve not used before.

We are introducing 6 new prints to our nursing top collection (although could be slightly more or less as i keep chaining my mind constantly) and the majority of these will be printed on new designs of nursing tops we’ve not shown before and yay most will be on Organic shirts.

We have some lovely colours, very spring like and hope to add to our nursing wear collection later this year with some crazy good nursing dresses and tops.

Estimated arrival time for our new shirts is 3 weeks and counting.

Nursing Tops which aren’t maternity tops

Do you really want to be wearing maternity clothes months after you had your baby?

This is meant as a real questions and not a judgement statement.

The whole idea behind Mama FeelsGood is for you as a mum (whether you are breastfeeding or not hey we are not here to judge) is for you to feel good. For me as a mum i couldn’t wait to get out of my maternity clothes, having been stretched beyond what i thought was possible it was time to ditch them and get into something else to move on with the next stage of mine and my baby’s journey.

SO all our nursing tops right now are designed without the bump. They aren’t made to go over a pregnant tummy and whilst i TOTALLY get that after you’ve had a baby your tummy will be bigger which our nursing tops can totally cover they aren’t made for big baby bumps.

Image

So as you can see in our Melons Nursing top above they are a lovely longer length so no worries about them creeping up as you nurse, plus you could either tuck them in or have them out , whichever floats your boat. We are very much a let them flap freely kinda people ha ha .

Also the under layer of the nursing top has got 5% spandex in it so it stretches, so great for when you will be using the shirt lots of times in the day when you breastfeeding your baby, plus it helps accommodate the muffin top (hey no before you say “darn it Liz i have no muffin top” i am totally speaking from my own experience, and i have a whole bakery going on under my shirt!).

Now i’m not saying that we will NEVER make nursing tops that won’t accommodate a baby bump, we’ve heard from some customers they like to buy maternity wear with the dual purpose of being a breastfeeding top too because it works out more efficient cost wise, but right now for us here at Mama FeelsGood we are rocking the “our nursing tops aren’t maternity tops” kinda way. Plus our nursing tops  don’t look like nursing tops they can be worn after you stop breastfeeding which a lot of ladies do, so when you buy one of breastfeeding tops it’s a bit like buying a dog for christmas, it’s not just for christmas it’s for life!

As always we want YOU to feel good so if you’d like nursing tops that are good for maternity too just let us know!

Breastfeeding Tops

Blimey it’s cold outside! Don’t panic we have Long sleeve breast feeding tops too!

Have i missed something and we have been transported into October? This August weather is crazy, here in Mama Feelsgood hub (ie Bristol!) one minute it’s really close and sweaty weather and then today it’s raining and the heating has had to go on! As a UK brand it makes things really crazy when trying to produce a new breastfeeding clothing range as our weather is getting so unpredictable, so do we make short sleeve nursing dresses or long sleeve breast feeding tops ? Maybe we should do 3/4 length sleeves and then be suitable for both ?

At the moment i am really into watching the programme Dexter, just finished watching Season 1 ( yeah i am late to catch onto this programme , but trying to make up for it) for those who haven’t seen it, it’s based in Miami and it always looks hot there. Got me thinking of wow what would it be like to live somewhere where the climate was pretty constant all year round . Here it’s just so up and down all the time but somewhere like Miami you could just have 1 wardrobe for the whole year. Please correct me if i am being dense as maybe Miami isn’t so hot all the time . But that would make my life SO much easier. Our nursing tops could be all shorter sleeved, breast feeding vests could be made etc.

What’s your opinions, do you think many people would wear nursing vests to breast feed in, i personally only wouldwear a breastfeeding vest to bed and not everyday but i know a lot of people are very different from me. Also breastfeeding pyjamas and bedwear whould you wear a pair of nursing pyjama’s? I’ve got a small baby and i honestly just wear a T-shirt to bed, i’m not too fussed about what i look like breastfeeding late at night but what about you?

We are trying to build up a nice collection of breast feeding clothing that suits our customers needs, what is it you are looking for? What would make your life as a breast feeding mum easier from an apparel point of view?

Our breast feeding T-shirts are really funky and we think lush but we want to expand our range and need feedback to provide the best we can, you along with the need for a variation of different style of nursing clothes ie because of our changing season here in the UK what else should we be doing?

Mama’s Melons nursing top – funky fun and certainly not frumpy

In a 1950’s kinda vibe our Mama’s Melons nursing tee is super laid back with a retro kick.

I admit i am a lover of things Kitsch , i think it comes from watching Happy Days on a friday night when i was little and feeling happy myself! Good times 🙂

SO the melons nursing top just really reflects one style that i am into. I was thinking about creating a 1950’s inspired nursing dress , you know all big puffed out skirt and cutie heart shaped neckline but i don’t think lots of people would feel the love for that one the way i would! So lets just say that idea has been put on the back burner!

If you did fancy one of our Mama’s nursing shirts  we carry then in store in long sleeve Grey or Black and also in short sleeve Pink which would be great for the summer or sleek black

Just think our nursing tops bring a bit of originality to your breastfeeding wardrobe and help make you feel good 🙂

Super funky nursing clothes are really hard to come by and we have lots of really cool casual nursing tops to offer, lots of them are currently available in our sale section too.  So if you are like me and a breastfeeding mother and know when your baby starts to cry they want feeding there and then ( i have first hand experience of being in M&S today and my 2 week old little girl needed feeding, and man she let me know she was hungry and all the people in the store knew too!! She has a fine set of lungs on her when she wants too. But of course i was wearing my Mama FeelsGood nursing top, in fact it was this Rock Mama breastfeeding top, the black does wonders to make you look slimmer! it made the whole process of breastfeeding in the childrens school clothing section loads more descrete ) !

Have fun in the sun and don;t forget your sun lotion, you dont wanna burn.
